Tom Fikes is a social neuroscientist and independent consultant and programmer in the cognitive, behavioral and neural sciences, with a Ph.D. in cognitive and perceptual psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and postdoctoral training in cognitive science at Indiana University. He has taught and worked in the areas of human movement and perception, most recently in implicit attitudes and the neural mechanisms of empathy, coordination, and cooperation, with specialization in EEG, mathematical modeling and analysis, experimental design, and computer programming and instrumentation for data collection.
